Bead Soup Cafe's Blogger/Non-Blogger #9 Challenge: Double The Fun

The current challenge is hosted by Toltec Jewels and she chose the following Inspiration/Muse Photos for us to design by!

Frida Kahlo, "Time Flies" self-portrait. Oil, 1938

"Teal Goddess" modern photography, artist unknown.

I loved them both but I could not deny the "Teal Goddess" her spotlight,  so here is my offering:
Pearl Crystal Twist
Made with Glass Pearls and Faceted A/B finished "Peacock" Crystals
Until next time, may you be Blessed with Abundant Peace and Prosperity

OMG! It's Time for the BEAD HOARDER'S BLOG HOP! OMG!

I decided to participate in this latest Blog Hop by our Evil Master Mind/Author/Blogger/Host of our face book group "Bead Soup Cafe ~ Lori Anderson, because I was not feeling all that creative and my little life has been in a bit of a tail spin these days.

Not only would it bring attention to my little stash, but I had very high hopes that this would break my "Beader's Block" so I can make some sparkle money to buy more sparkles.....oh and pay a bill too! !lol!

Well if you checked out my post yesterday It has been like pulling teeth around here in the "Creativity Department" ugh...!

Well last night/this morning I found some inspiration from ....! KUNGFU PANDA!  Yes ladies and gentlemen I said !KUNGFU PANDA!  Mr. Po ~ Dragon Lord himself!

I woke up with swirling colors and karate chops dancing in my head and got to work!  And no I had not taken my meds yet(long story) so this was natural brain waves flowing......LOL!
My mother thought it was toooo funny, but it worked!

Always something Blue and Sparkling added somewhere!

Ceramic, Glass and Crystal Beads
I believe this is my longest piece to date, about 28inchs outside/ 24inches inside.  It is a bit heavy because of the ceramic and glass beads.

And yes I noticed it also fits with the "Fourth of July" which made me laugh even more when I finished!

I do apologize for being late with my post and I appreciate everyone that stopped by before I got this finished.  Thanks for visiting and keep Hopping there are more fabulous creations just waiting to be seen  from my fellow hoarders below!

HAPPY VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY!!!!! (updated)

I have been holding this in for weeks! I just want to say that I am truly grateful for all of the friends that I have made in the Jewelry Making Community in the last 3-4months!

Now, my partner for this totally awesome birthday celebration is Robin Reed. Her blog can be found here: www.willowdragon.blogspot.com

We got together and talked about our likes & dislikes etc.. and guess what neither one of us is very fond of our birth month color, but we both like a bit of sparkle in our lives!

So her favs are natural colors, stones she likes are jasper, agates, and spring time she pumps up the sparkle in her jewelry a  bit more than usual!

Well I some weeks before I stumbled on this party, I bought what I refer to as a "smoky" Agate, didn't know what I was going to do with it then but I could not leave it in the store.

This is the color scheme I came up with for my friend Robin

You see the black faceted crystals in the middle, they are from the first bead purchase several years ago when I first fell in love with making jewelry.....Robin doesn't know this...lol! She does now!  I wanted to use them for something special and I believe this was it!

Necklace & Bracelet

I hope the pics are okay I took them while sitting up in my bed, I have some mobility & pain issues so this day my studio was my lap! !lol!  And I was making sure I made our deadline on time.

Different View

Now my gift from her is totally awesome there are earrings, and two bracelets and yes there is blue and bling in every piece isn't that Yeahhhhh!  ME!!

I love it! Oh my Fav color is BLUE!
Oh an she also sent me a mini care package...I was wanting some Meatloaf really bad lol!  She could only get her hands on some Roast beef !  lol!

Happy hopping folks
